PS5 Control Resonant R2

Control Resonant is an action RPG and a sequel to the award-winning Remedy game Control. The player controls Dylan Faden, who steps out of the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC) custody into a Manhattan ravaged by a paranormal crisis. Dylan must master his paranormal powers and stop a cosmic threat that is reshaping reality. At the same time, he is searching for his sister, FBC director Jesse Faden.

Distorted Manhattan

The game is set in a ravaged Manhattan, transformed beyond recognition by paranormal forces. The environments challenge the player's perception: gravity anomalies distort vertical and horizontal directions and introduce new dimensions to both puzzle-solving and combat situations. The city is under the influence of the Hiss force, the Mold microorganism, and other paranormal threats.

Paranormal powers and progression

Dylan channels his past experiences to understand his powers and the FBC's operations. An extensive progression system allows the player to customize Dylan's abilities and playstyle through choices. Decisions affect how powers manifest and evolve as the game progresses. Relationships and connections with other characters are part of Dylan's struggle to maintain his humanity.

Shape-shifting weapon

Dylan's primary weapon, Aberrant, is a paranormal melee weapon that changes form depending on the situation. It transforms from a two-handed hammer to double-edged blades and back during combat. The player can combine the weapon's different forms with elemental abilities and environmental interactions in dynamic combat scenarios.

Sequel to the Control game

Jesse Faden's lockdowns no longer hold. The paranormal catastrophe has spread beyond the Oldest House onto the streets of Manhattan, and FBC control is failing. Dylan must step out of the Oldest House and face the threat in the open city.
